The second International Jazz Day takes place on April 30 this year, featuring musicians from all over the world. Leading up to that is the whole month, which has been designated Jazz April: 'Whoever you are, wherever in the world you live, there's a way for you to help spread the word about jazz...' As the man (Ken Burns) said:
Jazz is a spectacularly accurate model of democracy and a kind of look into our redemptive future possibilities.
It's also great music. In April I shall be listening to (even) more jazz. (Thanks: DA.)
