It seems that France has now moved to ban men from wearing necklaces. The ban is to be enforced by an outfit called the 'moral police'. Whatever next?
No, sorry. For a moment there I was confused. It's not France, it's Iran. But this does provide a sort of comment on legal measures that forbid people from wearing whatever the hell they want.
(To prevent all possible misunderstanding, I do not by that intend that French liberal democracy is the moral equivalent of Iranian theocratic tyranny. It isn't.)
