Continuing what has become, de facto, a bit of a series here lately (1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6), I draw your attention to this letter from Amnesty International's UK director Kate Allen, responding to James Fergusson's lamentable column of a week ago. Allen writes:
Rather than Fergusson's near-apology for the Taliban's cruelty and discrimination, we should be supporting the embattled women of Afghanistan.
One can only hope that this talk of the Taliban's cruelty and discrimination doesn't count as a bedtime story.
