Zimbabwean disunity

Manfred Nowak, the UN's Special Rapporteur on Torture, has been prevented from visiting Zimbabwe despite an invitation from Morgan Tsvangirai, the Zimbabwean prime minister. Regrettable in itself since it blocks Nowak's intended investigation into human rights abuses in that country, the move, as he says, also 'sheds a clear light as to where the real power [lies] in this unity government'.
