You know Burger King? Well, I'm appealing to you, my readers, to help determine what the balance of opinion is on an issue that has broken out within my primary reference group. The issue is this: how do you say 'Burger King'? Do you accentuate the 'Burger' or the 'King'? Do you pronounce it as if they're top specifically for burgers - so 'Burger King', as opposed to, say, 'Pizza King' or 'Pancake King'? Or is the emphasis, rather, 'Burger King' - to tell people that amongst the purveyors of burgers, this one is the outfit that is king?
In order not to influence your 'vote', I won't tell you on which side of this debate of the moment I stand. I merely invite you to let me know how you say 'Burger King' when you say it. While you're thinking about it, you might like to take a look at this site.
