Here are four things that may or may not have been reported about the wishes of library-users...
1. Some people of one faith want their holy books shelved on high shelves, so as not to disparage the high status of the books.
2. Some people of another faith want their holy books shelved on lower shelves, so that potential readers can reach them more easily.
3. A number of atheists want all holy books kept out of sight, so as not to give passers-by inappropriate ideas.
4. Some readers in the north of England want the novels of Colm Tóibín to be shelved, not at T, but at A, so that people browsing will get to them earlier rather than later.
You can check out which of 1 through 4 I got from these two reports.
