While we're on immigration, if it is indeed true that the 'Life in the UK test' for prospective British citizens includes questions like these, then you can only wonder about the reason for it:
What proportion of women with children (of school age) are in paid work? Is it: a) half; b) one quarter; c) three quarters; or d) two thirds?Why should anyone new to this country be expected to answer questions that many of those already living here wouldn't be able to?... How many children are estimated to be working in the United Kingdom? Is it: a) 8 million; b) 5 million; c) 1 million; or d) 2 million.
