The results are done finally. You need wonder no longer. There were 149 entries, which makes this the third most popular normblog poll to date. There's an uncomplicated top 10 - and then a top 18 made up of 22 songs, and a top 50 made up of 52 songs, because of ties. My own entry, slimmed down from this shortlist didn't fare so well: 'Yesterday' at number 3, 'Get Back' and 'Sgt Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band' getting into the top 50 but very much among the also-rans, and 'Golden Slumbers' and 'She's A Woman' not making the cut. I was, in fact, the only voter for the last of these. But you know me, readers: I make my own way whatever the latest trends and against the cross-currents and mere whims of fashion.
