I watched a real gem of a movie yesterday, Denis Dercourt's The Page Turner. The central protagonist, Mélanie, all icy calm and restrained sexuality, could have been chosen by Hitchcock himself; and the film as a whole is Hitchcockian in its themes and its economy. There's a review here which may tell you more than you want to know. Me, I won't give anything away except to say that the story may prompt reflections on forgiveness. Give it a whirl.
