In September 2005 Simon Wilde gave us his top ten Test teams in the history of the game. At the time I offered reasons for doubting his number 9 choice: Michael Vaughan's team. Now Wilde has repeated the exercise, and you'll see that his two lists are quite similar, with a little bit of re-ordering. Notice, however, that Vaughan's team remains at number 9, even though one of Wilde's original choices had to be ommitted to make way for Ricky Ponting's current side. And that turns out to be Mark Taylor's Australians, previously above Vaughan's team at 6. Disappeared. Wilde must have changed his mind. I haven't changed mine. (Thanks: RB.)
