Light blogging, same explanation as before - much to do and see here, of which these are just a few highlights. Went down to the Sydney Opera House one day, and into it and all around it. Great as it looks in pictures, it's still something else seen close up and in the round. From there I wandered towards and into the Botanical Gardens. I sat, and walked, on the grass, admired the trees. Magnificent trees. A sign near the gate through which I entered gives the go-ahead for hugging these trees. I didn't do so. I think admiring a tree is better than hugging it. I walked round to Mrs Macquarie's Chair.
Same evening Jim took me to Bondi Beach. As beautiful as this is, it's just one of many. Yesterday we drove to some of the northern beaches - like Long Reef, Newport, and the back-to-back beaches of Palm and Pittwater. From here we climbed up to the lighthouse at Barrenjoey Head. Up there the view is like this. The natural beauty round Sydney is stunning.
I've also been to see some kangaroos. And been eating rather well.
