As you may have gathered, I don't have any great interest in the question of when Tony Blair should step down. Because I support the foreign policy he has pursued, and because a lot of those who are annoyed at Blair's political longevity are the sort of people I like to see annoyed, if he were to stay longer rather than shorter, that would be OK by me. But deep down I'm not exercised. Still, if the issue is now to be sorted finally, I'll be happy at not having to read - well, see, since I mostly don't read - anything more about when Blair is going, or should go, or not, or Gordon Brown.
