The Afghan Ambassador to Canada, Omar Samad, gave an address in Vancouver yesterday and was asked what he might say to the protestors shouting 'Troops Out of Afghanistan' during the demonstrations this past weekend. Parts of his reply:
"For God's sake, these people have no clue whatsoever about what they are talking about...The man who asked the question of the Afghan Ambassador was Terry Glavin, who has a long post up about this. Read it all. (And see these Canadian press reports which Terry links to - and also this.)

"Where were you when the women of Afghanistan were imprisoned?" he asked. "Where were you when the children of Afghanistan were denied schooling? Where were these demonstrations for human rights and dignity and honour?"
