Mohammed at Iraq The Model has a first-hand report on a protest march by women in Baghdad yesterday, in connection with the new Iraqi constitution:
The women set a large tent in Al-Firdows square which witnessed the fall of Saddam in April 2003. Under this icon of freedom the women held their signs and demands high.There are accompanying photographs. There was also a counter-protest - by '30 veiled women carrying signs saying things like "Yes, Yes to Islam and NO to Western Secularism"'. Read the whole thing.
