All-time favourite movie stars

Here you go then, people, and be ready for the odd surprise. I won't say I've always been able to predict the outcome of these normblog polls but none has gone against my expectations as much as this one did. If I'd predicted it, I would have scored only 2 out of 5 for the first five, and I certainly wouldn't have foreseen Katharine Hepburn coming in second. But this is what goes to make up the endlessly fascinating story that is our journey through this world, and I do not begrudge her or anyone else their place - though I do think Marlon Brando should be higher than fifth.

There were 116 entries. The actors obtaining ten votes or more constitute a sort of top 20 - sort of, because there are actually 21 of them, with a four-way tie for 18th place. I'm also listing all those who polled more than five votes, just so as you'll know. The number of votes obtained is given in brackets after the place number.
