I link, not for the first time, to an article in the Aus press by Pamela Bone. I don't know too much about her. In fact, I know nothing about her apart from the pieces of hers I've read. But she speaks a language I respect:
The sound Tory view is that if we are not threatened we don't need to act. The left view, or at least of that part of the left that sees itself as internationalist, is that the world does not stand by while dictators murder and torture their citizens. Because heaven knows, the war's opponents have been getting more than their share of comfort.
