Here's a guy explaining in a letter to the Guardian why he's not going to vote for Ken Livingstone:
I would have chosen Ken as first choice had he stayed out of the New Labour party... However, having accepted Blair's pieces of silver he is standing as the representative of the party that, in addition to its Thatcherite social and fiscal policies, has embroiled this country in the illegal fiasco in the Middle East. A vote for Livingstone is a vote for Blair, is a vote for Bush, is a vote for the Iraq conflict, the theft of their oil and the daily murder, torture and infringement of human rights.Sorry to be so persistent about this, but it needs saying more emphatically than ever now: a vote against the Iraq conflict - that, I suppose, had no implications of any kind concerning 'daily murder, torture and infringement of human rights'. The mind just bloody boggles at the extent, and the bottomless depth, of self-deception and denial.
