Mark Holland, southwards at Blognor Regis, has a great post up about Gram Parsons. He recommends the twofer CD GP/Grievous Angel, and quite rightly; it's a must in any serious collection. No, let me put that more carefully. It's a must for any serious person. My favourite tracks, though, are different from Mark's: I go for 'Love Hurts', 'Hearts on Fire' and 'Hickory Wind'. Of course, as well as the great Gram, there's also Herself singing harmony vocals.
Head on over to Mark's to read his take on Gram. There's also this review of last night's programme Mark was trailing. It has the line from Phil Kaufman:
If Gram was alive today, he'd still be dead.On a related matter. I know it's a while since I gave you an instalment of the Emmylou Review. Please bear with me. One's imminent.
