As expected, there's been a decisive result in the Falklands referendum:
Despite near zero temperatures and flurries of snow and rain, the turnout was 92% from an electorate of 1,650. All but three people voted yes to the question posed on the ballots: "Do you wish the Falkland Islands to retain their current political status as an overseas territory of the United Kingdom?"
Not decisive at all for the Argentine government, though. According to its spokespeeps, the will of an 'implanted population' doesn't count. Implanted population?
Implanted population!!! Kirchner and Fernandez are names indigenous to the region, are they? I can't argue about this any more. I am doubled over with hysterical laughter. I am helpless, helpless, helpless.
