Fight night

Here's a programme I'll be wanting to see, and in case you might be too, I'm flagging it: 'Boxing at the Movies: Kings of the Ring' is on BBC4 this coming Sunday, March 3, at 9pm. Danny Leigh, who made it, writes about cinema's romance with boxing in today's Guardian. As a boy he followed the fortunes of Charlie Magri. For me it was Rocky Marciano. My interest in this particular intersection between sport and screen was registered on normblog in a post I did going-on seven years ago. Seven years. Ouch.
