You might like to read about Siavosh Derakhti, a young Muslim of Turkish-Azerbaijani descent who lives in Malmo (see 1, 2) and has won an award from the Swedish Committee Against Antisemitism for the stand he has taken on this issue. Derakhti says:
My parents fled from dictatorship so their children could grow up in a peaceful place and experience democracy, and then to come to a country where there is hate, discrimination and racism on our streets, this is not acceptable. Something must be done[.]
