The Guardian gets playful in today's leader on the nomination of Chuck Hagel for defence secretary:
Mr Hagel's philosophy is not always consistent but he is an enemy of cant, and wins top marks for fresh thinking about America's place in the world. (That's enough German philosopher puns.)
Philosopher puns? I'd say those were a bit run of the mill. Where does Hagel stand on green issues? How constant are his views? Would he be sterner than the present incumbent?
