Many years ago I gave up drinking coffee. For nine months not a drop of the stuff passed my lips. At the time I congratulated myself that one can get used to doing without things one really likes. Why do without this, though? Because of some newspaper report saying that scientists had discovered coffee was harmful. And then I thought: naaaah, the hell with it.
It seems like I was ahead of the curve with that naaaah. My good friend Jeff has the low-down.
Putting together items that were made for each other, I'm also pleased to note that the good old ginger biscuit has some benign properties. This must be why dunking a ginger biccie in a cup of tea before consuming the duly softened part is one of life's great, even though small, experiences.
