Calamity Jane

It may be a bit early for me to be issuing reminders about my poll on Westerns. The deadline isn't till the end of this month, and I don't want to seem like a nudnik. I'm prompted to take that risk, however, by one troubling circumstance: this is the gender composition of the entrants so far. In some 30-odd entries to this point, only one - ONE - has come from a person of the female outlook. Can it really be that this marvellous genre has so relatively few women adherents? Say it ain't so.
