The normblog guide to soaps 10

As it's a bit of a slow day round here, I might as well bring you the next of my soap recommendations. Like the last one, I owe this, too, to a suggestion sent my way - by @bombaylychee. The soap is pure vegetable and made in France by L'Occitane; it's the Verbena Shea Butter Extra Gentle Soap. Gentle enough it is, but its distinctive quality to my mind is that it has a kind of tang. Now, I've not said that about any earlier soap in the series - tang, I mean. But it's the only word that will do. For some reason I think of sherbert when I'm using it. I take it this is down to the Verbena ingredient, but what do I know from Verbena? It's only a guess. Still, the long and the short of it is that this Occitane bar will both wake and freshen you, at the same time as getting you clean. What more could one ask?
