In today's instalment I bring you a weighty item indeed. This is a bar of soap with staying power. Made with love and care by Nesti Dante of Florence, it is 8.8oz of Pomegranate and Blackcurrant in the Il Frutteto series. It smells lovely, as you'd expect given its name, but its fragrance is of the garden more than of the dining table and therefore it is unlike last week's recommendation in that you won't be tempted to take a bite out of it.
The Frutteto Pomegranate and Blackcurrant bar is very creamy and may initially worry some male users. I have in mind, in saying this, a certain gender stereotype telling me that after a bath or shower women will apply various creams, oils and ungents to their bodies, most of which items the majority of men would be unable to name, let alone tell you what they're for; whereas these same men think that the point of a bath or shower is to rid their skin of all extraneous substances, to become and then stay squeaky clean. The creaminess of the Frutteto bar may initially alarm such stereotypical males into thinking that it contains moisturizing stuff that will compromise their ablutions. Worry not, my friends - the creaminess washes on and then washes right away to leave one feeling top of the morning.
