AV and the future politics of electoral reform

If you already know how you're voting in the referendum on AV tomorrow, then you already know. But if you're still not sure and your doubt turns on which outcome promises a better future for more thoroughgoing electoral reform, then you should vote yes. That question is raised by two of the letters here (those from Sam Smith and Charles Scanlan), and alluded to in the letter from Paddy Ashdown et al here.
