Tree as symbol, tree as stump

You shouldn't assume that it's Tree Week at normblog, because it isn't. But here's a second consecutive tree post. In Ireland, in Co Limerick, people are signing a petition to block the removal of a tree stump. In this case it's a matter of the symbol the tree stump is thought to contain. (Thanks: SC.)
