Late night football
Phew! I was beginning to think that no one else had noticed. Finally, I've come across a reference to the fact that the Champions League final, which kicks off at 7.45 pm tomorrow, British Summer Time, actually begins, in the city of Moscow where it is being played, at a quarter to eleven at night. This has been worrying me. I know the players are all young, fit and as motivated as can be. But to start playing a game of football that won't finish till after midnight - surely, that's got to affect their performance. You know, body clocks and all that. Unless the players just stay on British time while they're in Moscow, which was my thought a couple of days ago and has been pinched by Stuart James. I hope they can do that for all of the two days they need to. I don't want them nodding off on the pitch - except for the Chelsea players, that is.
