Candidate in distress

You could take this as a sign of desperation. In the cause of getting the delegates for Florida and Michigan seated at the Democratic convention, Hillary Clinton has invoked the parallel of Zimbabwe:
People go through the motions of an election only to have it discarded and disregarded. We're seeing that right now in Zimbabwe - tragically an election was held, the president lost, they refused to abide by the will of the people. So we can never take for granted our precious right to vote.
Desperation and also a lack of proportionate judgement. The Florida and Michigan delegates were disqualified because those two states breached the party rules over the timing of their primaries. In Zimbabwe there has been what amounts to a coup, backed by every sort of fraudulence and followed up by brutal violence. She's due for a rest.
