A base accusation

Leon Wieseltier has charged Andrew Sullivan with Jew baiting. There seems to be some backstory to it, in a longstanding personal animosity on the part of the accuser against the accused. But going by what the latter wrote that prompted the accusation, it is completely baseless - and, consequently, base. (Thanks: ME.)
