Italy in Europe?

On the day we were about to leave Florence, I asked in our hotel for a phone number where I could check on whether our train would be leaving at the time advertised. I was told that I shouldn't bother making the call. It isn't how things are done in Italy: 'We just go there, and we hope'. I can't say I've had too many other such experiences in Italy, but in the spirit of it anyway, here's a nice cartoon. (Thanks: StM.)
