"Modern Times," made No. 1 on the album charts by selling more than 192,000 copies its first week, according to his label, Columbia Records.That's longevity for you:Dylan's last No. 1 album was "Desire" in 1976. It's the longest span between No. 1 albums of any living recording artist.
Dylan, 65, is now the oldest living person to go straight into the chart at number one.
