Growth of the blogosphere
David Sifry's latest report for Technorati on the rate of growth of the blogosphere is here. There are now 50 million blogs. If you look at the first diagram (which you can enlarge by clicking on it), you'll see the doubling time. The growth since July 2003, where this blog came in, has been enormous: the blogosphere is now 100 times bigger. But I'd be interested to know if Technorati has data on how many of the 50 million blogs have ceased to be active. The three major blogging languages are English (34%), Japanese (33%) and Chinese (14%). (Via Clive.)
