Eurovision reactionary

That's what I am. The best part of Eurovision is the voting. Correction: used to be the voting. Till they changed the system. Since then I have been in favour of this idea:

Reintroduce voting by jury. Opening up the voting to the public has only accentuated the trend for regional block voting. Juries would not only be forbidden to vote for their own country, but prevented from giving maximum points to any neighbouring country too, ending the annual Balkan/Nordic back-slapping-fest which means that even the direst entry from Bosnia-Herzegovina or Lithuania is guaranteed at least 50 points.
