There are practical questions, of course; but that there is not also a sharing of pleasure, or celebration, at the good news strikes me as claptrap.My wife would concur, and as a midwife she's not exactly unfamiliar with pregnant women. In fact, her day job currently involves showing people images of their unborn child for the first time, and it's safe to say that their reaction is generally quite upbeat.
