All in the game

I caught up with The Perfect Catch on DVD last night - the American version of Fever Pitch. It's a light-hearted romantic comedy, utterly predictable from square one to the last, but fun for all that. It has some good moments on the meaning of fandom. Like:

There's something I haven't told you about myself... I'm a Boston Red Sox fan.

And:

You expect me to miss a game against the New York Yankees?!
