Knowing that some of you, o readers, are not out-and-out devotees of the genre, my educational efforts of more than a year on this site notwithstanding, I started out the present country music series by steering clear of anything too sentimental. I thought I'd err on the side of... astringent. However, now that we're up and really moving, I feel that you should be adequately prepared for something just a little more syrupy.
