Unfair to the Graun?
It seems I may have been less than fair to the Guardian. Here is someone writing to the paper to complain of its silence about a certain matter. The complaint arises from things the Guardian apparently failed to report about the Hay-on-Wye festival. But the complaint itself is more general. It's this:
How striking... has been the silence in your pages over the current dissent in Britain, expressed vividly at the festival, representing the millions of Britons who object to the lies they were told, and are still being told, about an unprovoked, illegal attack on another country, causing the death and suffering of tens of thousands of innocent people.Does this person read the same paper as I do when he reads the Guardian? Do they print separate editions where he lives and where I live? The 'silence in your pages over the current dissent in Britain... representing the millions of Britons who object...' etc. Who is this guy? Why, it's John Pilger.
